Ellen is a Dutch stained glass artist based in Oosterhout, NL. She became fascinated by the craft at age 18, after which she enrolled in Antwerp’s art academy stained glass course. About halfway through her studies she started working at GBB, one of the Netherlands biggest stained glass studios. During her time there, Ellen has been in charge of painting restoration replicas and coached interns on improving their glass painting skills.

As of now, Ellen works from her own studio full-time. She’s worked extensively on commissioned portraits as well as her own work. She has also taught multiple classes for both beginners and intermediate/advanced artists, mostly focusing on portraits.
