Big news... WE MOVED to a gorgeous new location in the heart of downtown Buffalo, NY and we're finally able to reopen our offices two days a week!

SGAA Moves Downtown

“Wouldn’t it be great if even our expenses somehow supported our [the SGAA] mission?” This question came up at our 2020 Winter Board Meeting and it didn’t take much research to figure out how our rent could do exactly that. When we discovered that office space was available at Trinity Center, part of Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown, Buffalo – it seemed too good to be true. In a year that seemed to present us with no end of challenges, we were able to move to a fantastic new office space that fully aligns with our mission. We’ve lowered overhead costs by moving into cooperative office space while knowing that our rent dollars are directly supporting this historic sacred space and their goals to restore their stained glass windows and other elements of the interior space.

Trinity Church is one of only two places in the world where the work of two art-glass pioneers - John LaFarge and Louis Comfort Tiffany - sit side by side. Altogether there are five Tiffany windows in addition to ten superb items of LaFarge.

We could not be more delighted to be a part of this passionate, active, open-minded community of parishioners and tenants. The SGAA Board of Directors and Office Staff sees this very much as a move that will directly result in our growth and renewed energy for brighter days ahead. We look forward to welcoming more local volunteers and very likely our first several interns in the coming year, a direct result of our new space.

SGAA Reopens the Office two Days a Week

With Buffalo City Schools reopening on a hybrid schedule, the SGAA has been able to reopen our office space with limited hours and maximum safety (a practice that's no stranger to this industry.) Moving forward immediately, we will have office hours on Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 3:00pm EST. Wednesdays - Fridays we will still have very limited daytime availability. We look forward to hitting the ground running at the new office space and connecting with our members again at more standard hours.

Everyone be well and stay safe out there for brighter days ahead.
