If you or your Church need stained glass repairs, full restoration, or new works of art—Whitworth Stained Glass would welcome the opportunity to work with you to evaluate and identify how we may assist you.  Established in 1970, we offer each client the same level of experience, quality and professionalism.  No salesperson, no assistant to the manager, no secretary to return calls—you will receive guidance and have confidence that your project is being handled by the professional with nearly 50 years’ experience—the owner—and the other owner and designer—his wife.

Whitworth Stained Glass has been a Professional Accredited Studio as certified by the Stained Glass Association of America since 1988.  During this time, the owner has served in all capacities in the organization including President of the Stained Glass Association and the Stained Glass School.  He currently serves on the Board of Trustees as Treasurer of the Stained Glass School.

EXPERTISE

Whitworth Stained Glass specializes in communication.  Understanding and offering suggestions is based on the optimization of priorities—answering questions about what you visualize and how we can best meet your needs.  We have extensive experience in addressing the design and completion of new stained glass as well as removal, complete disassembly and restoration (piece by piece) of windows that are in need of that attention.

In addition, the owner is an Accredited Appraiser of stained glass for insurance purposes, accredited by the Appraisal Association of America.  He is currently one of only three in America providing Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) guidelines as authorized by Congress as the Source of Appraisal Standards and Appraiser Qualifications.  If your insurance company is requesting an appraisal of your stained glass—whether a church or your personal stained glass—we are Accredited and currently one of only three in the United States. This process can be completed using pictures/sizes and provenance sent by email, or the appraiser (the owner of Whitworth Stained Glass) can come to your church or the location of the stained glass (which is preferred but not mandatory).

REGIONS SERVED

Whitworth Stained Glass has provided stained glass services for churches, homes, funeral homes, public spaces, restaurants and offices from Hood River, Oregon to Norfolk, Virginia.  Most of our opportunities come from Texas; but we have provided new work, restoration and appraisal of stained glass in many states. Even in Texas, where we completed restoration for over a 100 stained glass windows in Dalhart, TX (602 miles north) to new windows in McAllen, TX (265 miles south), and restorations in Longview (360 miles east) and Odessa (359 miles west)—we travel the equivalent of several states just in Texas to provide our services!  With our Studio in Central Texas, we make the most of our location—in Texas and across the nation.
